In der Regensburger Altstadt muss weiterhin ein Mund-Nasen-Schutz getragen werden. Der Freistaat hat einen entsprechenden Antrag der Stadt abgelehnt.
In der Regensburger Altstadt gilt weiterhin Maskenpflicht. Die Stadt Regensburg konnte kein Einvernehmen mit der Regierung der Oberpfalz und dem Bayerischen Gesundheitsministerium erreichen. Trotz der niedrigen 7-Tage-Inzidenz der Stadt Regensburg können, so das Staatsministerium, zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt noch keine Lockerungen erfolgen. Aufgrund der Ausbreitung der Virusmutationen in Bayern und deren höheren Infektiosität hält der Freistaat eine Aufhebung der Maskenpflicht an zentralen Orten in Innenstädten oder an sonstigen öffentlichen Orten unter freiem Himmel, an denen sich Menschen auf engem Raum oder nicht nur vorübergehend aufhalten, für nicht vertretbar.
„Auch wenn wir das aufgrund des niedrigen Inzidenzwertes für vertretbar gehalten hätten, so ist es wichtig, die Einschätzung der Expertinnen und Experten ernst zu nehmen und bei Lockerungen das Einvernehmen herzustellen“, so Oberbürgermeisterin Gertrud Maltz-Schwarzfischer. Schließlich wolle man die Erfolge in der Pandemiebekämpfung nicht aufs Spiel setzen.
Stadt stellte Antrag
Lockerungen der Infektionsschutzmaßnahmen zur Eindämmung der Corona-Pandemie können nur im Einvernehmen mit der Regierung der Oberpfalz erfolgen.
Angesichts der durchgehend niedrigen Inzidenzwerte in Regensburg hatte die Stadt am 15. Februar 2021 eine Anfrage bei der Regierung der Oberpfalz gestellt, um die Maskenpflicht für die Innenstadt aufheben zu können.
