Was sich in den vergangenen Tagen bereits angedeutet hatte, ist nun Gewissheit: Agyemang Diawusie wechselt in die Domstadt. Nachdem der ehemalige Jahnschmiede-Spieler bereits am Wochenende bei den Testspielen als Gastspieler mitwirkte, hat der 25-Jährige nun auch seinen Platz im Kader des SSV sicher.
Der SSV Jahn Regensburg verstärkt sich mit Agyemang Diawusie auf der offensiven Außenbahn. Mittlerweile umschließt der Kader der Oberpfälzer damit bereits 23 Spieler. Der 25-jährige Flügelstürmer bewies sich aber als Gastspieler im Training in den vergangenen Tagen und unterschrieb nun ein gültiges Arbeitspapier bis 2025 beim Jahn.
„Weitere Variationsmöglichkeiten für die Offensive“
„Durch die Verpflichtung von Agyemang gewinnen wir weitere Variationsmöglichkeiten für unsere Offensive hinzu. Mit seiner Dynamik und Technik ist er in der Lage, unserem Spiel positive Impulse zu geben“, erklärt Achim Beierlorzer, Geschäftsführer Sport des SSV Jahn, die Verpflichtung. Man wolle mit ihm gemeinsam an seinen Verbesserungspotenzialen arbeiten und ihn auf das Niveau bringen, das er in sich habe, so Beierlorzer.
Ausgebildet in der Jahnschmiede
Der in Berlin geborene Diawusie wurde zunächst in der Jahnschmiede, dem Nachwuchsleistungszentrum des SSV Jahn, ausgebildet (U8-U13). Über die Jugendmannschaften des 1. FC Nürnberg und RB Leipzig gelang ihm 2017 der Sprung in den Profibereich. Nach Stationen in Ingolstadt, Wiesbaden und Dresden zog es ihn ins Ausland zum damaligen österreichischen Bundesligisten SV Ried. Zuletzt spielte Diawusie für die SpVgg Bayreuth. Insgesamt hat der 25-Jährige bereits 100-Drittliga-Einsätze in seiner Karriere verbuchen können.
„Ich bin sehr froh zurückzukehren"
Der 25-Jährige hofft nun anzukommen und sich beim SSV Jahn zu etablieren: „Ich bin sehr froh zurückzukehren. Die Gespräche mit Achim Beierlorzer und Joe Enochs waren von Anfang an sehr positiv.“ Zudem habe ihn die Mannschaft direkt gut aufgenommen und er sei deshalb motiviert, dem Team mit seinen Qualitäten weiterzuhelfen.
